About Us -- Mark and Beth

- We decided to adopt around Christmas of 2004. Our information went to China in January, 2006. On Tuesday, July 8, 2008, we finally got our referral and a picture of our little girl. Her Chinese name was Pu Fu Na. We have named her Merrilee Margaret. Mary was Beth's mother's name. Lee was her grandmother's name. Margaret was Mark's grandmother's name. We traveled to China in August 2008, and returned to the states with our new daughter on August 29. It's an amazing feeling when you go halfway around the world for a child that is waiting for you. And, it's an amazing feeling when you get her citizenship certificate in the mail!

It's Merrilee's Monday!! I am sheding a few tears myself. I woke serveral times last night, but stopped myself from logging on in case the photos hadn't made it to the blog yet! I'm on my way to work and couldn't wait to see your family. GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Dear Merrilee,
I'm trying to think of something really cool to say to you today, but can't seem to find the right words. I told your story about you and your Mommy & Daddy to all my friends at work today, telling them it's MERRILEE MONDAY!! Each time I talked about you, I cried the happiest tears. One man said he overheard me talking about you and thought that since I was so excited that I was adopting you. Well, living next door to you will be the next best thing. ALL MY HUGS and KISSES come stright to you! Sleep well, precious girl.
